In 1876, New York University became the first college in the United States to establish a lacrosse team. In the present day, the NYU Men's Lacrosse team is a part of the NCLL (National Collegiate Lacrosse League) and plays a competitive schedule in the NY metro conference. Currently NYU is preparing for the 15-game spring season. Last year, NYU was ranked number 13 in the division by Inside Lacrosse Magazine accompanied by the heading: "Beltway Bash Finalist lights them up offensively and shuts them down!" Looking to build upon its success last year, NYU has its eyes set on storming the 2011 NCLL playoffs.
The Oldest College Lacrosse Team Sports the Newest in Lacrosse Gear
The NYU Men's Lacrosse team was the recent recipient of a tremendous gift from a generous alumnus. The alumnus supporter, who is co-founder of Thailand Lacrosse, donated 20 brand new Cascade CPX-R helmets. The helmets feature the latest in lacrosse technology such as an adjustable fit system for more comfort, the SevenTech Liner System for better protection and the SPRfit Hardtail design for a sweeter look!
The matching team helmets, a wish of the program for many years, will bring pride, team identity and solidarity to the team.
The NYU Men's Lacrosse team would like to thank the generous supporter for his gift to the program.

Attendance was poor at conditioning this evening. Let's do better next time. No Toughness, No Championships.
